In 2001 Honda surpassed Nissan to become the second largest Japanese automobile manufacturer. Honda has long been known for their economy and fuel efficient cars, it’s SUV vehicle didn’t become popular until the introduction of the CR-V, since the launch of the CR-V Honda has developed the Pilot and Ridgeline. For many years, people have bought Honda’s for their reliability and fuel efficiency. Honda had been one of the leading companies in electric and alternative fuel vehicles. The Honda Civic GX in the only natural gas vehicle commercially available, in 2001 the U.S. EPA rated it as the cleanest burning internal combustion engine in the world. Along with their popular gasoline engine automobile lines, they have produced flexible fuel, hybrid electric and hydrogen fuel cell automobiles.
