Chevrolet, also known as Chevy is a brand of automobiles produced by General Motors Company. Founded by Louis Chevrolet in 1911,Chevrolet was acquired by General Motors in 1917. In its early days Chevy automobiles we being positioned to compete against the popular model T build by Ford Motor Company. Chevy had great influence on the American automobile market during the 1950’s and 1960’s, due to it introduction of the Chevy small-block V-8 in 1955. Chevy has mostly been recognized for its muscle cars and trucks such as the Chevy Corvette, Chevy Camaro and Chevy Impala. The current Chevy automobiles are, Aveo, Cobalt, Malibu, Impala, Corvette, Camaro, Colorado, Silverado, Avalanche, Kodiak, HHR, Traverse, Equinox, Tahoe, Suburban and Express.

Although Chevrolet has been known for its powerful engines and fast cars, they have now focused their efforts of fuel efficient cars. They now offer a line of Hybrid vehicles such as the Malibu Hybrid, Tahoe Hybrid and Silverado Hybrid.
